Mission, purpose and value proposal
Posiva Solutions Oy was established in June 2016 and it is a subsidiary of Posiva Oy. Posiva Solutions focuses on the sales of the know-how Posiva has accumulated over the last 40 years from its research and development, site selection, licensing, design, construction and stakeholder engagement activities in the final disposal of spent nuclear fuel. Posiva is responsible for the final disposal of the spent fuel generated by its owners, Teollisuuden Voima Oyj and Fortum Oyj. As first in the world, Posiva will start the final disposal in mid-2020s.
